My sister, Lois, was born a little more than a year before me,so we relied a lot on each other to figure out the basics of going from crawling to walking.
As I grew up my family often went on extended camping trips to Yosemite where we explored the many trails. In the mid 60s my father would often take us on long hikes through the Santa Cruz mountains. Many were made at the site which is now UCSC, only a few blocks from our home. My scout troop also went on many hikes, as well as campouts overnight. Once during a survival hike our overnight was cut short with a storm which was so intense we had to hike out from our Lean-tos to a point near Waddel Creek where we met our ride home.
In 1978 I met Marcia, and a year later we were married. Marcia came with a ready made family consisting of her young sons Mike and Dave. Soon after we moved into an apartment in Campbell, Jeff was born.
In January of 2012, Jeff and Hanna moved into their new house in Pleasant Hill, and in March of that year celebrated Jeff's birthday with his friend Craig and Craig's finance Kay.
